Today's English Agenda
1. Everyday Editing- combining sentences
2. MEAP Reading Packet
3. SSR
4.  Finish yesterday’s quick write. (Write about a time someone you loved passed away or write about a time you had to say good-bye to someone.)
5. QW-“Hands”  Listen to Sarah Kay with the Spoken Word; draw a picture of your hand and write items that you have touched in your life and that have meant a lot to you or have been symbolic. (example: basketball, baby, puppy)
             6. Homework- Look back in your writer's notebook and choose an item you listed in your    "hand." Zoom-in and write a snapshot of that moment in your life. Use showing and sensory details.
             7. Homework: Make sure you are reading three nights a week at home!

Everyday Editing: Combine the following sentences into one sentence.
A single empty chair waited for Rowanne.
A thought whispered.
The thought came from the back of Hector’s mind.
Hector’s thought was drowned out by the sounds of scraping, shifting chairs.
