1.When I was little, I loved playing basketball.

2.The Explore test is on Wednesday, and the eighth grade students will try their best on the test.

3.I plan to work hard, study, and learn as much as I can at school today.

4.His attitude, studious and hard-working, inspired all around him.

Persuasive Writing Unit
Next, we discussed the persuasive writing format, and then decided on a topic for the injustice persuasive essay we are preparing to write. Students read an article on the topic he/she selected, and underlined or highlighted interesting details and ideas that helped show the main idea of the article. Tomorrow students will continue to look back and reread their article, take a position on the topic, and begin to construct a thesis sentence.
