Today in English, we took notes on features of an Op-ed. Then in groups we brainstormed topic ideas for our op-ed piece. We also took notes on techniques authors use to write op-eds that are effective and interesting to the audience.
In addition, I handed back quizzes from Friday, and reviewed the answers.
Next, we continued with our literature study on Roll of Thunder, Hear My Cry. Below is the page each class read to today:
First Hour: 100
Second Hour: 98
Fifth Hour: 95
Later this week there will be a quiz over chapters four and five!
