Everyday Editing:
Imitating an interrupter sentence! Write down the below sentence into your writer's notebook, and then create an interrupter sentence of your own.

Mrs. Brown, our math teacher, says we’re intelligent.

Lesson: This week we started our informational reading unit. Student have been reading articles all week long, while reflecting on the article's purpose, text features, style, and working on summarizing information from the reading. Today we read an article called “High School Dropouts Costly to American Economy.”  Then students answered three discussion question about the article with a partner.
