Everyday Editing: Where do you need commas? Copy into your writer's notebook the sentences missing a comma, and then also add the missing commas.

The dog chased the car and the driver laughed.

The day was long yet tiring.

In the end, I hardly knew what to say but I tried to find the words.

He ran into the woods and cried.
