That semester I was enrolled in seven classes- math, English, shop,
history, gym, choir, and French.
Mini-Lesson: We looked at an example narrative rough draft, and discussed techniques the student could do to make his paper have more showing details and hook the reader at the beginning of the story.
Next, I handed back rough drafts with my comments and feedback. Students were to read my comments and look for places in his/her narrative to add more showing moments or dialogue and experiment with word choice and structure.
All English classes worked in the computer lab on the narrative essay for the rest of the hour.
