Everyday Editing: Make an apostrophe chart in writer’s notebook in everyday editing section.

Quick Write
      1.      Listen to a few snapshot writing examples.

2.      Lesson focus: Zoom-in

3.      Write a snapshot of a moment in your life. Zoom in to the moment; describe every detail you can remember about that moment.

 5th Hour Quick Write: Write about a moment in your life when you were really afraid or worried about something.
 
Lesson: Preparing to write a narrative essay.
1.      Review what narrative writing is all about!
      2.    Look at the board for examples and techniques.
     3.  Look through quick writes for a topic or brainstorm a topic.
     4.  Begin filling in storyboard.
 
Homework: Come to class with a topic for your narrative essay. Read daily at home in your novel!
